Methoxyflurane.
Inhaled Analgesic.
Suitable for patients who can self administer.
Up to 6ml per day, vaporised in a Penthrox Inhaler. The total weekly dose should not exceed 15ml.
Directions of Use:
Step 1: Fill the inhaler by pouring the contents of one Penthrox bottle into the bottom of the inhaler.
Step 2: Close the cap and place the wrist loop over your wrist.
Step 3: Inhale and exhale gently through the mouthpiece for several seconds to allow yourself to adjust.
Step 4: Breathe as you normally would through the inhaler. For more potent pain management, place a finger over the diluter hole on the AC chamber.
Step 5: Continue breathing until the pain becomes manageable or until you have reached the maximum recommended dose for the day.
Step 6: Dispose of the used inhaler and bottles appropriately.
Each Combination Pack includes: 1 x 3ml Penthrox bottle; 1 x Penthrox Inhaler; 1 x AC Chamber.
